Opus 3 was commissioned in January of 2013 by St. Andrew’s Chapel, Sanford, FL. Dr. Terry Yount, organist of the Church, director of the Orlando Collegium and dean of the conservatory associated with the church, required an instrument to accompany the choir in weekly introits from the rear of the sanctuary, provide continuo accompaniment for the Orlando Collegium, and be a teaching and performing instrument for the maualiter repertoire.

Opus 3 is similar to our Opus 1, with several small changes to make the instrument more versatile and adaptable to its home. Opus 3 includes the low C# missing in Opus 1, and the top end of the compass has been expanded to include E53. Additionally, because the organ is primarily used in the large, reverberant sanctuary of St. Andrew’s, the scales were slightly increased, and the 4′ flute made open at the lowest possible point, G#21. The Nazard replaces the Quint, allowing the right hand to solo over the left. The organ also transposes down to A415; one must re-tune low C.
